Art Play Journaling Club

4.5 out of 5 based on 4 customer ratings
(4 customer reviews)

The Sketchbook Club was born out of the love of playing in my sketchbook. Held Mondays 7 pm to 9 pm at Art Corner Studio. (*note:  if Monday is a holiday, Sketchbook Club will be held the following Wednesday.)

What is Sketchbook club?

A creative booster shot every week!

It is designed for those who would like to explore their creative side in a non-threatening, fun and playful way. Loads of new skills and techniques in drawing, collaging, painting and mixed media will be taught + lots of playing time.

Playing in your sketchbook opens up so many fabulous opportunities to  EXPLORE, EXPERIMENT and EXPRESS your creative side which in turn allows you to PRACTICE and to LEARN the art of:

letting go,

trusting in the creative process

gaining self-confidence &

[really truly] adding more joy moments to your life!

Journal doodling sounded funny but then it opened a whole world for me that I wouldn’t have done without Kate’s enthusiasm. She’s artistic and empathetic so you feel safe and inspired. I found the journal excercises are now my building blocks preparing me for more adventures; like one of those art collleges summer workshops; that’s how much Kates Corners have contributed to my creative confidence. Get into it.

A highlight of my week. Learnt so much with regard to creative journaling. Kate is an excellent teacher, runs an organized class, and creates a safe place to practise different types of journalling.

I really enjoyed Kate’s Art Play Journaling club. I love Art and this series of workshops opened up a new outlook on art. I tend to be rather prim and proper in my art ( sketching what I see and keeping it in uniform ) but I could let loose and be creative and explore, discover and enjoy myself. The self discovery of letting the creative juices flow was amazing. I would go home and continue to practise and doodle even just 15-20 minutes a day left me very happy and in a positive state of mind. I so enjoyed it! Kate gave us instructions and tips and let us go for it and enjoy! She really knows her art and let us be ourselves as well.
